Supporting the Performing Arts

The most recent web poll was very significant… and we were proud to see the results fall the way they did. We asked if you support the performing arts and 95% of the responses were favorable. Now, I’m not sure if this means you support financially by attending, or you are actively involved in these events. In the past few months, we have been thrilled to participate on two large events in this area… the Contemporary American Theater Festival and, most recently, Pickin’ in the Panhandle. While the format and flavor of these events were drastically different, they did have amazingly talented people involved. The productions at CATF are second to none and the musicians at Pickin’ were internationally recognized [seriously]. If you aren’t currently supporting the performing arts, I encourage you to start. You can start small… this weekend, for example, my daughter and I will be attending a musical at the Apollo Theater in Martinsburg.
